BIG Sessions: FAQ
What is a podcast?
A podcast is a downloadable audio broadcast. Usually an MP3 file, it can be heard on your computer or portable MP3 player (not just an iPod). And when you subscribe to our podcast, your podcast software will automatically search for and download any new available files from that source whenever you connect it to the Internet.
How does it work?
If you have iTunes go to their Music Store and search for BIG Sessions within ‘podcasts’ and then simply subscribe to the podcast. If you do not have iTunes, all you need is some kind of podcasting software (such as iPodder) and an MP3 player. And of course if you just want to download an MP3 file to listen to on your computer, go to our ARCHIVE section.
What do I need?
You'll need:
- A computer with an Internet connection.
- A portable MP3 player or "jukebox" application on your computer.
- Podcasting software.
How do I set it up?
- Install the podcasting software on your computer.
- Subscribe to our podcast by pasting the following URL into the podcast application:
- Each time you connect your MP3 player to your computer, it will automatically search and
download any new audio files from the feed.
Which podcast software should I use?
Most podcasting software is free and works across many platforms, i.e. Mac OSX, Linux and Windows, operating systems. So the choice is really up to you. Check the links for more information.
